JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa is thrilled to introduce its highly anticipated restaurant, ‘EAST – The Asian Living Room,’ where patrons can delight in the finest Cantonese, Japanese, and Korean cuisines. Nestled in the midst of nature, tranquility, and serenity, EAST offers a stunning backdrop of a man-made lake and the lush greens of the golf course. Designed by Hirsch Bedner Associates Singapore, EAST boasts a cozy ambiance with marbled table tops, muted upholstery that evokes a homely atmosphere amidst well-kept gardens on both sides, an outdoor deck overlooking the lake, and an interactive bar that crafts enchanting cocktails. The restaurant also provides two private dining spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing in natural light, creating an intimate setting with conversational sofa groups, an eight-seater round marbled dining table, and an open terrace with breathtaking views of the lake and golf course greens.

What sets EAST apart is its unique style of service – an Asian family-style dining experience that reflects the culture of Asian households. Guests can come together to enjoy delectable Cantonese, Japanese, and Korean dishes, much like they would in a traditional Asian living room. The service includes traditional Asian household customs such as the Cherry Blossom ritual and Matcha Tea ritual, reminiscent of how they are practiced when guests are welcomed into Asian homes. These customs symbolize unity and harmony within communities, emphasizing the role of food in uniting diverse Asian cultures as a strong pillar.

Heading the kitchen at EAST is Chef Saiful, an Asian MasterChef who takes into account guests’ preferences and moods when crafting a sumptuous meal and creating an unforgettable dining experience. He recommends savoring his signature creations like Squid Ojingeo Bokkeum, Soft Shell Crab, Flying Ramen, Wild Mushroom Bao, Tofu Pad Cha, and Miso Alaskan Black Cod. A standout feature of EAST is its wide selection of Korean grill meats, prepared on specially designed Korean grills.

EAST also houses its own ‘Fermentation Lab,’ offering guests a journey into the world of ‘Sake Rice’ and tastings. The bar features a variety of innovative crafted beverages, including Japanese malts, Sochu, and Sake, as well as visually captivating, innovative cocktails like the Passion Pearl and Melting Pot, which complement the Whiskey Wall of the restaurant.
